32:56 given what source 2 allows for (unsealed maps iirc are possible) they could have popped the fuck off with this concept and let the ai director literally change the entire floor plan of a building by giving it a set of rooms to place between two empty doorways in a map with nothing in between them. Like imagine no mercy but the hospital layout is a little different every single playthrough. Maybe it could be more than a little. It could add entire new rooms, maybe have less rooms, take an entire new path even. Plus with the item spawn location system it could result in vastly different experiences that test the reaction speed and adaptability of the players. Giving it not total but a moderate amount of control over layout could be sick

The argument about the Empire in the story is bizarre. What, an Empire campaign can’t work when it did in so many other games pre-Disney because the Rebels look real? Okay? Well you so you. To me that just makes me want to torch their smarmy, obnoxious designated hero faces all the more. Plus Luke looks absolutely nothing like Mark Hamill so all we have left if a pretentious Jedi spouting generic platitudes to an easily swayed traitor. Screw that.

The DS version of the original RE 1 is the BEST among all ports of it. The modifications, change of animations, all new character/enemy models, quick knife/ Quick reload/ Quick 360° turn and new puzzles added makes it more complete.

i want to love survivor so bad but it runs ATROCIOUS, i can run fallen order with ultra+ mods and still get solid fps meanwhile jedi survivor can't even break 30 to 40 on low settings on middle high end pc parts 😭

I like the ambiance in this game. If u just stand and observe you can hear the sound of blowing gusts of wind, objects clattering around in the distance, trees and foliage swaying violently, particles in the air, it’s all just fantastic and lends an excellent sense of movement to the world, which compliments the immersion of embodying Kyle, and the fluidity of the zombie physics very nicely. Nothing quite feels like Dying Light. It’s a combination of many different things complementing one another.

I wouldnt personally say any of the dead rising games are masterpieces.1 and 2 are both dated and have a number of flaws I experienced in recent playthroughs of both. But I definitely think this is way too hard on this game. 1, 2 and 3 are all fun for different reasons. Theres almost certainly a valid reason that Steam currently has a mostly positive score for this game. Dead Rising 4 however is a whole other story. But i think the most egregious criticism is of the combo weapons. I can understand that if you just wanted a sense of desperation that the first game provided, then yeah 8 variations of a weapon is immersion breaking. But I think Dead Rising 2 was immensely popular for not being immersive. More content, to a majority of people, is not a bad thing. Id say most people loved the combo weapons of 2 and 3. Idk its hard for me to listen to this review and not feel like a majority of this is based off of seeing Dead Rising 1 as this hidden perfect gem and almost like a hipster viewpoint that everything that changed ruined the series. When arguably i think the majority of the playerbase would feel differently. Again, not saying dead rising 2 or 3 are perfect. But i think a lot of people enjoy them because theyre not DR1. I would highly recommend looking at the comments under a recent Kevduit video of the game or just read any of the steam reviews.

I think the main reason all weaponry is disabled in safe zones is because there's a thematic element where no longer having your weapon drawn or throwables ready mechanically tells the player that they can be at ease there. It's genuinely safe, with no chance of a sudden combat situation outside of story/dialogue prompting one.

one little thing id wanna add, attack power increasing actually DOES increase the power of weapons, there are just so many instant kill weapons that its kinda difficult to see right away. for example, the gems end up becoming unbelievably powerful once you max out your power.

I actually think that the PvP gamemode is very well balanced. You can find gameplays on UA-cam of very high-skilled humans and zombie duking it out. The moveset of a human always accounts for the moveset of the zombie and provides a way to counter in some way, or to give the human an advantage (and vice versa). Much of the human's moveset comes in the form of equipment (throwables and the like) and abilities such as the drop attack or dropkick. It all comes down to how the player makes use of the tools given to them. I've found that matchups between skilled humans and zombies are most often decided by who can outwit the other first, i.e. who can bait who into a spike trap, or force the opponent into an unwinnable position.

I respectfully disagree, ultimately the only thing that should matter to you is if you found the gameplay to be fun or not, (I did)

l4d2 melee for me always and still does feel like a crutch. i mean why team work when can sit in a corner with a frying pan and kill up to 5 zombies with one swing. while also swinging the weapon with mouse1 button never gets you tired but showing zombies with mouse2 a same melee weapon in hands gives you a cooldown that's just bullshit honestly.

just saying, the xbox dlcs werent bad, i still play the xbox version and the dlcs are cheap compared to most other games, and you get basically a second game (L4D1), plus some extra stuff, sure its split into 3 but in total it only cost like 8 quid each

The pvp criticism is way off the mark. The night hunter is super underpowered against experienced survivors. Also guns are absolutely useless in pvp. I understand when it comes to new players getting screwed over by invasions. But night hunter invasions is way better and is way more fun when everyone knows what they are doing. Even if you are a night hunter that runs into a 4 stack that will absolutely shit on you not matter how good you are. It’s the only thing I would play with friends since the pve got boring fast. Very disappointed it’s not in dying light 2.

That save file glitch is such a pain in the ass. The fact that a publisher can port a game into steam with a massive flaw that risks WIPING your entire progress is actually ridiculous, how is this game allowed to be sold in steam? I actually liked Dead Rising 3, but replaying this game on PC and watching my hours of gameplay evaporate into thin air made Dead Rising 4 look like a gift from god good video btw, really enjoyed it

As someone who played Ultrakill before, I found funny how bashing after shooting with a shotgun is a thing here too, also, animation canceling aside, I am a firm believer that the spread reduction is more than just copium 😅.

I liked the combat and deck building quite a bit. I disliked pretty much everything else outside of combat.
